W.A.R.M Project – WARM stands for Weatherization and Repair Ministry and its purpose is to reach those in need who are in our Chapin community and surrounding area with Christ’s love, by making much needed repairs on their homes, repairs they cannot afford or are not able to make themselves. With the WARM Project, the labor and materials for those repairs are gifts, a paying forward of God’s unconditional love.
Christmas is a time of sharing and CUMC has a chance for you to share with those less fortunate this Christmas season without costing you anything but time. This year’s CUMC WARM Project (Weatherization and Repair Ministry) will be held on Tuesday, December 27th and Wednesday, December 28th for the Chapin area. This short-term mission project involves home repairs which vary from minor jobs (demo, cleaning, etc.) to major jobs (roof replacement, bathroom rebuilding, etc.) so there is something for people of any skill/experience levels. Middle School and High School students, and children accompanied by a parent, are invited to participate. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day, with breakfast starting at 7 AM in the Fellowship Building at CUMC, followed by a quick update from Team Leaders before heading out to work. To sign up, please call the office at 345-2801.
